I conceptualized this project from start to finish, reaching out to talent, photographers, set designers, wardrobe stylists and prop stylists to execute my vision. I interviewed the subjects on-site and wrote an intro essay for the published piece in Ladygunn (print).

ABOUT CROWDPLEASER: Crowdpleaser examines the role of image, gender, and representation for women and nonbinary artists in the music industry through a series of artist profiles and photos. Photos feature the artist at their most comfortable and powerful in environments and roles that have historically served men or the male gaze, i.e. Playmate, sex hotline operator, victim in a horror film, sexualized video game character, etc., while conversations delve into the artists' experiences in the industry. TALENT: Ehlie Luna, Meredith Graves of Perfect Pussy, Kate Clover of ExSage, Dani Miller of Surfbort, Shasta Geaux Pop, + More TBA

I coordinated acoustic sessions with artists, and scripted video Q&As for Macy’s American Rag showroom. Sessions included performances by R5, ZZ Ward, Kitten, and more.
